About us
“That desire to reconsider the value of time”
Many of you have asked us what led us to become wine producers .
You asked us what was the spark that made us decide to turn our lives upside down at 40 by investing energy, time and money.
The secret is simply passion .
Passion accompanies us every day, it gives us motivation , the desire to always do better, the desire to reconsider the value of time, the desire to create something unique and ours, something that will remain alive in the future as the memories left in the abandoned and grassy terraces around Pieve Vergonte by our grandparents and great-grandparents are alive, which we wanted to recover and replant starting from 2012 with Prünent vine shoots, leaving the old “ culogn at sass ” and trying not to distort what was a place of silence and respect.
Even the working of the land remains totally manual just like in the past due to the inaccessibility and small size of the plots, as well as the use of plant protection products which often remains below the minimum threshold.
Ca' da l'Era is the name of the area at the bottom of the valley in Pieve Vergonte where the first vine shoots were planted.
On the road that leads to the vineyard, there is a small abandoned but still functional farmhouse where the great-grandparents and grandparents stored the rye in the attic called “ Era ”.
The origins of this name date back to the times of war when soldiers, probably from the Lombardy area, named that place.
Ours is a very small winemaking company located in the Ossola Valley , a small portion of mountain territory nestled between the Alps on the border with Switzerland in the far north of Piedmont.
The province in which we are located is that of Verbania.
Every year we work about 2 hectares of vineyards located mainly in Pieve Vergonte and in the villages of Trontano, Crossiggia, Campoccio.
Wine production is around 5 thousand bottles per year .
